Saturday 8th August 2015 and will run through to the Champions League Final scheduled on Saturday 28th May 2016. Points will be scored based on the real-life performances of the selected football players in your fantasy football team.
I've spent all my money. How do I complete my team?
You have a budget of:
11 players and a stadium from a starting budget of £120 million
If you have used up your budget but not completed your team, you must make some transfers to free up some budget. You can make as many transfers as you like before you submit your team, HOWEVER, once you have submitted your team, any transfers you make will count against your quota.
When do I have to submit my team?
You must submit your team to score points. Once your team is complete you can submit it. Your team will not start scoring, or appear in a Mini-League, until you have submitted your team. If you enter and complete your team before the transfer amnesty window closes at
12:00 BST on Saturday 8 August 2015
your team will be auto submitted at this time.
How can I submit my team?
Once you have picked your team, a submit button will appear on the top of the screen. Your team will not start scoring, or appear in a Mini-League, until you have submitted your team. If you enter and complete your team before the end of the transfer amnesty window it will be automatically submitted when the transfer window closes at
12.00 BST on Saturday 8 August 2015
NOTE: You are not able to submit your team manually before the auto-submission deadline!

I have submitted my team but I can't play any games!
Your team does not play any games as such - your players score points based on their real life performances in the domestic league season. Your team will then be given a collective score and you will gain or lose places in your respective league.
When do I get my transfers?
Your team will be allocated transfers to use during the season. Exact number of transfers and dates for transfer allocations may be found in the Game Rules
page. Unused transfers may not be carried over to the following period.
How do I make transfers?
You can make transfers to optimize your point scoring potential. Once you have logged on, head to the Team section. Select the player you want to transfer out by clicking on their shirt graphic. Then, select the player you want to transfer in from the drop-down list that appears. Any players marked with an 'x' are out of your budget.
NOTE: You will not lose points when transferring players out of your team. Points that transferred players have scored will be counted towards your team's points and you can view their points in the transfer history page.
IMPORTANT: You must SAVE all transfers / selections once you have made them. The game will allow you to make provisional changes, but no change will be confirmed until you have pressed 'SAVE'. If you change your mind before saving, please click the 'UNDO' button. Do not change your newly transferred player back to the original, as this will use up two of your transfers.
What is the Transfer Amnesty?
The Transfer Amnesties will allow you to make unlimited transfers to your team for a designated time period. There will be 3 this year (please see rules page) but you will only be able to action them if you have bought the relevant copy of the "MOTD Magazine" and received the Transfer Amnesty code published.
What are stadiums and how can I use them?
You will also need to pick a stadium which you can Build Up over the season. You will be able to add up to 6 x 'stands' over the season to make your stadium the envy of your friends. We will publish 'Stadium Codes' over the season in the mag. So, keep your eyes peeled and build your Stadium up to a 'Mega Stadium' like Wembley!! Please note: once you have chosen your stadium and have submitted your team, you cannot change it, so choose wisely!
Bear in mind that you, MUST choose a Stadium. If you do not select a stadium, your team will NOT be submitted and score points.
What is a Euro Scout?
The Euro Super Scout feature will allow you to buy a player for your team who is not a member of the Premier League. They will score points, just like your other players, and will remain in your team until you transfer them out.
You must activate your Euro Scout by using a special in game code - you can aquire these codes by reading MOTD Magazine.
What is a Power Play and a Booster Code?
Power Play codes will allow you to select one week in each month where you will be able to score double points for all of your players that play within that week. Once you have entered the code, you will be able to choose which week you would like to score double points for. Choose wisely, as you will not be able to change the week you selected for that month. A Booster Code allows you
to earn 1 additional transfer per week. This code will always be in the weekly "MOTD Magazine".
All transfers must be made before the published kick-off time of any match for the player(s) to be able to score points in that match. Players will only score points from the time/date that they are transferred into your team.
Can I transfer players between games?
Yes, all transfers must be made by the published time of kick-off for any match, but you can transfer players out after kick-off to get your line-up ready for the next match.
You do not have to wait until the match finishes to swap players between games, as long as the players are in your team by the match deadline, they will score points for your team. Time of transfers will be recorded as per the server clock (displayed in the footer section of the web site).
I am trying to make a transfer and it won't let me!
If you are having trouble making a transfer it's probably because you have either reached your quota of players from that club, or you have spent your entire budget. You cannot go over your allocated transfer budget.
How do I change my team's formation?
You can change your team's formation at any time by clicking the formation drop down box on the team page and selecting the formation you want. Your team must have enough budget and transfer allocations in order to proceed.
Please note: where appropriate, the game will remove from your team the lowest-scoring players in any given position. For example, when you change from a 4-4-2 to a 3-5-2 formation, your defender with the least points will be automatically removed from your defence. You can make as many changes to your formation as you like - only the final SAVED formation and player selections will take effect.
How do I claim my prize?
Prize winners will be contacted within a 28 day period of them winning. If there is a tie, the manager who joined the game first will be deemed the winner.
Why haven't I scored any points for my player(s)?
Your players will not score points until you have submitted your team.
If you transfer a player into your team after an official game has started, they WILL NOT score any points for that game. Make sure all your transfers are complete before the transfer deadline!
Players will only score points if they set foot on the pitch during a match - if your player is injured, suspended or on the bench they will not score fantasy points.
When do the points get updated?
We will update points within a 48 hour period of each match ending. Points for assists may be allocated up to 24 hours after the match ends and may be changed after this time if the Assists Panel rules so.
Will my team's score be changed because of changed or reversed decisions?
To keep this game as up to date as possible, we will use the scores/results that all the original news agencies report. If there are reversed decisions or the results are reported differently after the initial report, we will NOT change the original score reported. Therefore, any red/yellow cards, own goals or final results that are awarded/taken away from players/teams after the event will have no impact on their original fantasy points awarded.
Do players on the bench score points?
No! A player must set foot on the pitch to score points - no points are scored from the bench. Likewise, if a player is substituted out, he will not score or lose points for goals scored and conceded whilst off the pitch. For example, if a defender gets substituted out on 50 minutes and the score is 0-0, but his team eventually lose 2-0, he will not lose points for conceding goals. Points shown by players on your bench are only an indication of what you could have scored, were they in your team.
What do captains do?
Choose one player to be the captain of your team. Your chosen captain will remain your team captain until you transfer him or change captain to another player in your team. This player will DOUBLE his game points during the time he remains as captain. If no captain is chosen, no player will receive double points. You can change your captain as many times as you want, but only the player named as captain at the captain deadline at 12.00pm on each Saturday will receive double points for matches taking place on that day.
How do you measure an 'Assist'?
An assist will be allocated to any player who makes the last clean pass/header before a goal is scored by a team-mate. Assists will not be awarded if there is any measure of interference from an opposing player. An assist will not be awarded in the event of a parry, a rebound, a goal scored directly from a free-kick or a penalty.
In the following instances, assist points will not be awarded:
- From a direct free kick
- Winning a penalty from the opposing team
- Initial shot hit the crossbar or woodwork and the goal is scored after
- Goalkeeper parried the initial shot
- Deflection off of the opposing players
Please note: following consideration by the Assists Panel, points for assists may be added/removed up to 48 hours after the initial match points have been processed. The decision of the Assists Panel is final and no discussion will be entered into regarding the allocation of points for assists.
How do players gain or lose points from a penalty?
There are 2 instances that players will gain or lose points from penalty:
1. Goalkeeper will receive points for penalty save if he parries the initial shot even the goal is scored after.
2. Player who takes penalty will lose penalty points if the initial shot is missed or saved by the goalkeeper but he then scores on the rebound.
Am I in a League?
Yes. Everybody automatically enters the 'Overall League', where they compete against every other manager in the game. You can also set up a private mini-league where you can play amongst a group of your friends or colleagues - this can be done by clicking on 'Join a League' in the 'League' section of the website, once you have logged on.
Can I set up a private league to play against my friends?
Yes. You can set up a mini-league to challenge your friends and colleagues. Choose the 'Join a League' link under the 'League' section once you have logged in. Here, you can choose to set up a mini-league yourself, or enter one that has already been set up using a league name and password.
Can I join a mini-league mid season?
Yes. You can place your team into a mini-league at any stage in the competition. Your team will keep any points etc. that it has earned to date, although any mini-leagues created after the League of Leagues closing deadline will NOT be eligible to win prizes. Remember, once in a mini-league, your team cannot leave that mini-league.
How can I move my team from one mini-league to another?
You are unable to move teams in and out of mini-leagues. Your team will remain in its mini-league forever, however you can belong to a maximum of 10 mini-leagues including those that you have created. Please note: you can ONLY create and be the 'Chairman' of 3 mini-leagues.
I have entered my team into a mini-league but I can't see it!
The site updates periodically, so you may not be able to see your team in a mini-league straight away. Once the site has updated, your team will show in your mini-league list. Only teams that have been submitted will be displayed in your mini-leaguess.
